August 2024
The 10km cross country charity race is being held in memory of Alf Shrubb who was born in Slinfold in the late 1800’s. He is hailed as one of the greatest runners the country has ever produced and held 15 world records between 1903 and 1904: from 2000 yards to the one-hour distance record. Money raised from the race will be donated to parish charities and organisations.
