Gas Resistant Detailing Strip is used for detailing work, when sealing sheet membranes to penetrations e.g. steel columns, manholes, piles etc. It is manufactured using aluminium polythene laminate coated on one surface, with an additional layer of self-adhesive polymer modified bitumen.
Features
- Detailing strip incorporates an aluminium foil core to provide resistance to the passage of methane, carbon dioxide and radon gases
- Excellent adhesion properties to primed surfaces
- Can be installed in both vertical and horizontal applications, above and below ground
Applications
The Gas Resistant Detailing Strip is suitable for sealing the Tri-Gas and Radon Gas Membranes to penetrations such as steel columns, pile caps, manhole chambers in accordance with the relevant Cordek standard details.
Suitability
For use with the Tri-Gas and Radon Gas Membranes. Any concrete, masonry or steel surfaces that the product is applied to should be suitably primed using the Puraflex Primer prior to application.
